PURPOSE:To almost completely eliminate a residual toner on an image carrying body, by constituting the titled device so that one end of a scraper member is fixed to a part of a rigid housing of a cleaning device, and the other end is pressed against the peripheral surface of a conductive roller. CONSTITUTION:With regard to a scraper 49 for scraping a toner which has been accumulated on the peripheral surface of a conductive roller 48, one end is fixed to a rigid body which has been fixed to a rigid housing 50, and the other end is pressed against the peripheral surface of a toner receiving roller 48. Before the tip of a toner image which has ended a transfer reaches a cleaning blade 47, a blade 47 is pressed against an image carrying body 40 by an action of a blade holder 47a, and when peeling and a drop of a residual toner are started, the toner receiving roller 48 which has been electrified to the polarity for attracting the toner by an applied voltage attracts the toner which has dropped down along on its peripheral surface and carries it counterclockwise, scrapes it down by the scraper 49, and the collecting capacity of the peripheral surface of the toner receiving roller 48 is always maintained in a fresh state. |
