PRODUCTION OF AMINO RESIN MOLDING COMPOUND

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled molding compound by incorporating an amino resin-impregnated product with a coloring agent having respectively specific average particle size and particle size distribution containing specific dispersing agents to significantly reduce coloring time as well as to effect stabilized color tone. CONSTITUTION:The objective molding compound can be obtained by incorporating (A) a dried and coarsely ground amino resin blended which filler with (B) a coloring agent containing (i) 3-50wt% of a metallic soap and (ii) 5-70wt% of silicon dioxide with the both contents totalling 8-90wt%, having an average particle size <=3mum and such particle size distribution that particles of a size <=1mum and those of a size <=8mum account for >=20wt% and >=60wt%, respectively.
