PURPOSE:To a compact scavenging hole controller by opening an exhaust valve with oil pressure of a hydraulic piston operated by a cam rotated in synchronization with an engine while operating also a scavenging control ring on the outer periphery of a scavenging port with the same oil pressure. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust valve 1 of an uniflow system 2-cycle engine is opened and closed by oil pressure of a hydraulic piston 3 operated with a cam 2 rotated in synchronization with an engine. A scavenging control ring 7 is provided around the outer periphery of scavenging ports 6 provided throughout the periphery of the lower portion of a cylinder 5 and urged normally by springs in the direction of closing valve, while said oil pressure is supplied to the back of a piston 9 pressed by a spring to open and close said ring synchronously with the operation of the exhaust valve.
