PURPOSE:To provide positive triboelectric chargeability to a capsuled toner by forming the shell with polyurethane contg. isocyanate units having the structure of isocyanurate and/or polyurea. CONSTITUTION:The shell of a capsuled toner is formed with polyurethane and/or polyurea. The polyurethane is obtd. by reacting isocyanate having the structure of isocyanurate with polyol or polyamine by interfacial polymn. or other method. The isocyanate used is preferably derived from a trimer of hexamethylene diisocyanate and/or a trimer of tolylene diisocyanate. The preferred amount of the shell is 5-30wt% of the amount of the capsuled toner. The resulting capsuled toner shows high positive triboelectric chargeability, the shell is made dense and a clear image is obtd. |
