PURPOSE:To provide an optional pattern, etc. to a tubular hollow member with a smaller-sized device by supporting the outside surface of the hollow member with a master mold provided with a recess, fitting an elastic material to the inside circumference of the hollow member and providing a means for compressing the elastic material. CONSTITUTION:A cam member 12 presses a holder 5 via cam surfaces 13, 15 toward a member P side and the recessed surfaces 2 of a pair of horizontal dies support the end P' of the member over the entire circumference. When a bed 11 descends further, a cam member 26 of a driving mechanism pushes a holder 21 to a stopper 22 side and the holder 21 pulls a rod 17. Then an elastic material 16 fitted to the inside circumference of the member is supported by backing plate 25 and is compressed in this state by the head part 19 of the rod so that the force in the direction of expanding diameter is exerted from the outside circumferential surface of the body 16 to the end P'. The part of the end P' facing a groove 30 is then expanded and is intruded in the tight contact state into the groove 30, by which an annular projecting part 31 is formed to the end P'. |
