PURPOSE:To shorten the length of an air conditioner in the forward direction of a vehicle by providing exterior unit parts on both sides in the cross tie direction of an interior unit mounted on a vehicle roof respectively, and arranging return mouthes under the bottom plates of the exterior unit parts. CONSTITUTION:Return mouthes 6a, 6b are provided under exterior unit parts 8a, 8b. In this constitution, air in a compartment 11 is led to an interior unit part 7 by an interior fan 4 through the return mouthes 6a, 6b and under the guidance of the bottom plates of the exterior unit parts 8a, 8b, and then passes through an interior heat exchanger 5. Thus air conditioning is carried out, and the air is widely distributed in the compartment 11 by the interior fan 4. The above constitution can miniaturize the air conditioner to shorten its length in the forward direction of a vehicle. |
