PURPOSE:To prevent possible breakage of a nozzle for sucking sample or a reagent due to the lowering thereof at any point other than the home position thereof while preventing the poor discharge of an infinitesimal quantity of sample by providing a damper for checking impact during the lowering thereof and a contact detection mechanism on the nozzle. CONSTITUTION:A nozzle 41 for sucking a fixed amount of a sample or a reagent in a container 65 is provided with a damper 60 to check impact during the lowering thereof. A contact detection mechanism 50 is provided at the tip of the nozzle 41 to prevent poor discharge of an infinitesimal quantity of the sample. This also can prevent possible breakage of the nozzle due to the lowering thereof at any point other than the home position thereof.
