PURPOSE:To make stable operation continuable even in case of a sensor being out of order and so on, by stopping feedback control when a device detecting an actual input rotational speed gets out of order, and making a controller so as to do feedforward control instead. CONSTITUTION:When something trouble in a device detecting an input rotation speed is detected by a trouble detecting device, a gear shifting command device outputs a gear shifting command signal to a gear shifting actuator on the basis of only a signal out of a feedforward controlling device. Therefore, a transmission gear ratio is controlled so as to become the preset desired transmission gear ratio on the basis of, for example, car speed and engine load. With this constitution, even if an apparent deviation between the actual input rotational speed and the desired one grows large, an improper transmission gear ratio is in no case commanded, so that such a state as being almost the same state as the transmission gear ratio up to just before the trouble occurs is maintained, thus a variation in a sudden operating state will not happen there. |
