PURPOSE:To shorten the warming-up time of a hot water supply machine by carrying out setting-change PID calculation when setting a high temperature and for other settings carrying out ordinary PID. CONSTITUTION:A control section 1 lets an ignition device 2 ignite, opens a gas proportional valve 3 to ignite a main burner 4, and detects ignition by an ignition detection circuit 5. Water in a heat exchanger 6 is changed to hot water by the main burner 4, and the control section 1 senses the temperature of the hot water at present by an out-going water thermistor 7 and controls the gas proportional valve 3 so as to bring the hot water temperature to a temperature set by an out-going water temperature setting section. Right after starting use of the machine, high temperature setting is judged at A, and if high temperature setting is judged, the control moves to setting-change PID calculation and the integration calculation is stopped to prevent overshoot. On the contrary if low temperature setting is judged, calculation is carried out by ordinary PID to shorten the warming-up time.
