PURPOSE:To improve the reliability by bonding by conveying and positioning a film carrier under a defined tensile force, and adsorbing by vacuum and holding both the front and rear parts of the bonding position of said film carrier for carrying out a bonding operation afterward. CONSTITUTION:The front and rear parts of a film carrier which is subjected to a bonding operation are adsorbed by vacuum adsorbing ports 34, 34a, in such a way that the film carrier is lifted upward. Thereby, the position of the film carrier can be maintained without being affected by the pressing force of a heat tool 16 at the time of bonding. Further, since a finger 20 is simultaneously formed at the time of bonding, the finger 20 will not be in contact with other than a joining vamp 19, thereby, greatly increasing the reliability of bonding.
