PURPOSE:To obtain a low-priced case which fixes a glass in a stable condition and is excellent in water resistance, adherence, corrosion resistance and appearance by applying an electroless plating to a middle made of a thermoplastic synthetic resin, ultrasonically welding a transparent thermoplastic synthetic resin glass to the middle and applying an electroplating thereto. CONSTITUTION:After a pretreatment for a plastic plating is conducted, a middle made of a thermoplastic synthetic resin, such as polycarbonate or the like, is applied with a nickel and/or copper electroless plating. Then, a glass made of a transparent thermoplastic synthetic resin is located on the glass inserting portion of the middle and the middle and the glass are fixed to each other by ultrasonic welding. Further, an electroplating that consists of the two layers of a base plating and a finish plating is applied thereto. The base plating involves a copper plating, a nickel plating or a two layer plating of copper and nickel. The finish plating can be selected from a gold-plating or a gold alloy-plating, a palladium-plating or a palladium alloy-plating, chrome-plating and the like.
