PURPOSE:To obtain the titled body which has large conductivity at a surface layer thereof, even if in case of containing small amount of fine particle of tin oxide, and is lessened a residual potential, and has good light transmissivity by mounting a surface layer which disperses the fine particles of the reduced tin oxide in the binding resin on a photoconductive layer. CONSTITUTION:The photoconductive layer and the surface layer are mounted on the substrate body. The surface layer contains the fine particle of the reduced tin oxide dispersed in the binding resin such as polyurethane. The prescribed fine particle is produced by carrying out a hydrolysis of stannic chloride to form hydroxide of tin, and subsequently by washing it and then, by calcining it at a high temp., while introducing a reductive gas such as hydrogen gas, etc. The obtd. fine particle may contain P, Ge, Li, F, etc., as an impurity. As the obtd. fine particle has a low resistance and is closer to a white color, the surface layer having desirable volume resistivity and excellent light transmissivity is obtd. And, the photosensitive body capable of forming a latent image is obtd. without using a specific process. |
