This invention relates to a magnetic coating composition containing an additive which has magnetizability, conductivity and which serves as an abradant and pigments. The magnetic coating composition is composed of main magnetic materials and cementite particles. The main magnetic materials are magnetic oxidized steel, chrome dioxide or metalic iron. The cementite is Fe5C2 or Fe2C, and its content is 0.5-20 wt.% of main magnetic materials.
