PURPOSE:To eliminate overlaping of parts or to easily separate overlapped parts to prevent adhesion of foreign matters to the inside in processes after press forming by using a sealing plate in which pips projecting inward are formed in the inner periphery and a positive case. CONSTITUTION:A positive mix 3 is pressed on the inner bottom of a positive case 1 togehter with a positive ring 4 having an opposite L-shaped cross-section. A separator 5 and an electrolyte impregnated material 6 are placed in order. A sealing plate 2 whose end is surrounded with a gasket 7 and having a negative mix 8 on its inside surface is fixed to the positive case 1, then the end of the positive case 1 is bent inward to form a battery. An electrolyte is previously poured on the negative mix and the positive mix. Three pips 9 projecting inward and having radius at the tip are formed at equal intervals in the inner periphery of the sealing plate having adequate distance from its opening end. Even if the sealing plates are overlapped in a cleaning process, for example, they are easily separated by only giving weak vibration, and adhesion of foreign matters to the inside can be prevented. |
