<p>PURPOSE:To produce plenty dried air from air contg. steam at low cost by using a membrane which consists of a high molecular compd. having 1-40% equibrium coefficient of moisture absorption in 80% relative humidity at 25 deg.C and has a dense layer of 0.02-3mum thickness. CONSTITUTION:A membrane having a dense layer of 0.02-3mum thickness is produced by using a high molecular compd. having 1-40% equibrium coefficient of moisture absorption in 80% relative humidity at 25 deg.C. As such the high molecular compd., a hydrophilic high molecular compd. such as i.e. regenerated cellulose, cellulose acetate, ethyl cellulose, polyvinyl formal and polyurethane is used. A hollow yarn membrane endurable to comparatively large gas pressure in proportion to material strength especially has a favorable shape. As a dehumidifying method, such a method is used that ordinary-pressure or pressurized wet air is fed to a feed side and a permeation side is decompressed or pressurized wet air is fed to the feed side and ordinary-pressure air or dry air is fed to the permeation side.</p> |
