The connection of wire spokes and hubs in a wire-spoke wheel is achieved by fitting straight spokes into a hub which is provided with two hub flanges. For reasons of engineering and costs the hub flanges can be produced by simple punching and bending. A hub of this type is the prerequisite for automation of the production of wheels.
