PURPOSE:To record a high-density image by a handy portable device by using an image storage body, and recording and reading images independently. CONSTITUTION:An exposure member EM including an optical system 1, a shutter, etc., are incorporated in a recording part 1 and the quantity and time of the passage of an optical image are controlled by the optical system 11. The image storage body 4 is extended in a holding container 102 while wound around takeups 41 and 42. A connector 202 supplies a power source beam convergence and deflection signal from a recording and reproducing device 204 to a camera 100 through a cable 203 and also inputs an image signal outputted by the camera 100. The power source is made compact when the camera is carried, so the camera is reduced in size.
