PURPOSE:To improve efficiency of work of an operator by providing a communicating means of information and data, a displaying means that displays information data and data stored in a nonvolatile memory and a data inputting device. CONSTITUTION:Command, data etc. are given to an interface controlling circuit theta2 in a printing device by a higher rank interface theta1, and when recognized as commands of information data such as name of form, designation of paper used etc., given to an information data controlling section theta5, and reading and writing in a nonvolatile memory section theta6 and indication in an indicator theta7 is performed according to instruction. A printing controlling section theta3 and a printing section theta4 give report of the state of processing and report of the content of abnormality at the time of occurrence of abnormality to the information data controlling section theta5, and the information data controlling section indicates the content of the report in the indicator theta7. Data inputted by a key inputting section theta8 are read and written in the nonvolatile memory section theta6 by the information data controlling section theta5, and indicated in the indicator theta7.
