In this top or front attachment for spraying devices, such as spray cans, a transparent, hollow, fixed tube (1), which is open towards the spraying head (6) and is connected via a holder (5) to the spraying device (7), serves as a guard and target device and as a spacer, and an elastic membrane (2) with an extensible, oval opening (3) on the side of the tube (1) opposite the spraying head (6) serves as a variable covering device for the nail (9) to be varnished, the latter being introduced into the membrane opening (3) in such a way that the nail tip (10) rests on the inside of the membrane (2) and the edge (4) of the membrane surrounds the nail (9) in such a way that only the surface to be varnished remains exposed, onto which, with a short spurt of spray (8), a thin, even, quick-drying layer of varnish is sprayed, after which, by tipping the finger (12), whilst retaining the pressure (13) of the underside of the nail tip (10) against the edge (4) of the membrane, the nail (9) is withdrawn perpendicular to the membrane (2). <IMAGE>
