A method for fabricating resistor structures for superconducting integrated circuits. The method comprises forming a superconducting strip (60) and then altering a region on that strip (78) to depress its critical temperature to below the operating temperature. The alteration may be accomplished mechanically, chemically or physically. The order parameter of the material may be depressed by bombarding the material with ions at a sufficient energy level and dosage, and for sufficient duration. The order parameter may also be reduced by placing a magnetic material in contact with or in close proximity with the region (78). |
