摘要 PURPOSE:To produce the titled high-polymerization degree polymer excellent in mechanical properties, electric properties, etc., by reacting an aromatic (thio) ether with phosgene in the presence of a Lewis acid and a Lewis base in an aprotic organic solvent. CONSTITUTION:An aromatic (thio)ether (A) of formula I (wherein R<1-12> are each H, a halogen, a hydrocarbyl or an alkoxy, X is O or S or may be partly direct bonds and n is 0-2) is reacted with phosgene (B) in the presence of a Lewis acid (C) (e.g., anhydrous AlCl3) and a Lewis base (D) (e.g., NaCl) under conditions including an A:B:C:D molar ratio of 1:3-20:1.9-10:0.1-10 and a C to D molar ratio >=1.8 at -10-100 deg.C in 25wt%, based on component A, aprotic organic solvent (E) (e.g., N-methylformamide) to obtain a high- polymerization degree linear aromatic poly(thio)ether ketone of formula II, having a m.p. of 365-334 deg.C and a glass transition point of 154-144 deg.C.
