In a lip seal ring with a sealing disc made of polytetrafluoroethylene, which is connected in its adhesion part via an elastomeric intermediate layer to the radial leg of the metal housing ring, the metal housing ring forms radial and/or axial centrings of the sealing disc so that the sealing disc can be inserted, centred in relation to the housing ring, into a vulcanising mould, the connecting elastomer mass can be injected and sealing disc, elastomer mass and housing ring can be vulcanised to one another. <IMAGE>
