PURPOSE:To make such a grindstone as more excellent than a grit stone inexpensively without any skillfulness, by adding water to a mixture of potassium hydroxide and abrasive grains and, after molding it by pressurization, carbonating and hardening it in a carbon dioxide gas ambience. CONSTITUTION:A weight part of 200-800 of emery and other grit abrasive grins, alumina and the other artificial abrasive grains or industrial waste abra sive grains of nickel refined slag or the like is mixed to a weight part of 100 of potassium hydroxide passed through a sieve of less than 150mmu or so in mesh, an furthermore a weight part of 100 of about 3-20 water is well mixed to this mixture 100 weight part and, after being pressurized and molded, it is carbonated at about 40-100 deg.C in temperature and about 50-100% in humidity under a carbon dioxide gas ambience, thereby manufacturing a grindstone. This stone produced like this has more excellent polishability than a grit stone and, what is more, high-grade skillfulness is no longer required. |
