PURPOSE:To obtain the titled porcelain having improved pyro-electric properties by relatively low-temperature sintering at normal temperature simply and inexpensively, by obtaining precipitating containing Pb, Zr, Ti, Mn and Nb by multi-stage wet method, calcining the precipitate to give fine powder, molding the fine powder and sintering. CONSTITUTION:Precipitate containing 1-4 elements selected from Pb, Zr, Ti, Mn and Nb is formed from a solution containing the 1-4 elements and, in a state wherein the prepared precipitate is dispersed, precipitate containing remaining at least one of the 4-1 elements among the five elements is formed from a solution containing at least one of the remaining 4-1 element. The operation is carried out for necessary times to precipitate the total five elements. The precipitate is calcined to give fine powder, which is molded and sintered at 1,000-1,200 deg.C to give the titled porcelain having a composition shown by the formula (0.01<=A<=0.3; 0.54<=x<=0.95; 0.25<=y<=0.55). The titled porcelain which is sintered at normal pressure and at relatively low temperature without using a sintering auxiliary and has improved pyroelectric properties can be simply and inexpensively produced and the prepared porcelain has high sintering density and is also useful as a piezoelectric properties. |
