For the purpose of preventing the collision between a loading ramp (4) and a cutting arm (6) of a cutting machine (1) there are provided transmitter slide members (13)(14) which are arranged between loading ramp (4) and machine frame (5) as well as between swivel bearing means (11) and cutting arm (6). During swivelling movement of the cutting arm (6) or the loading ramp (4), the slide members (14) move along their path past a plurality of inductive or capacitive switches, the signals of which are displayed or are used for controlling valves in the hydraulic conduits of the swivel drive means. <IMAGE>
