PURPOSE:To provide the title compsn. having excellent moldability, mechanical characteristics, frictional characteristics and form stability and a small coeffi cient of linear expansion and suitable for use in manufacture of gears, bearings, sliding parts, etc., which comprises a particular melt-processable polyester and a lubricating substance as main components. CONSTITUTION:At least one arom. or alicyclic dicarboxylic acid is reacted with at least one arom., alicyclic or aliphatic diol to obtain a melt-processable liq. crystalline polyester (A) having a weight-average MW of 2,000-200,000 and an inherent viscosity of 2.0-10.0dl/g (in 0.1wt% pentafluorophenol, at 60 deg.C) and capable of forming an anisotropic melting phase (e.g., a polyester contg. about 10mol% or more repeating unit contg. a naphthalene portion, such as 2,6-dihydroxynaphthalene). 100pts.wt. component A is blended with 1-30pts.wt. lubricating substance (B) having a decomposition temp. of 270 deg.C or above (e.g., spindle oil or paraffin wax) and, if necessary,an inorganic filler (C) such as glass fiber, talc or silica and other additives (D) such as MoS2, graphite, WS3, and fluoroplastics. |
