Apparatuses of this type are equipped with a linkage parallelogram which is formed from two long links (1, 2) and two short connecting rods (3, 4), one connecting rod (3) of which is configured as a camera-securing means (6), the links (1, 2) of which are connected to a bearing part (7) such that they can pivot about horizontal axes, and one link (1) of which is a load-bearing member which can be subjected to bending stress and on whose end region, located opposite the camera-securing means (6), a compensation weight (18) can be fitted. With the aid of the linkage parallelogram, the mounted camera can be moved up and down by parallel shifting, with a small amount of force, between the vicinity of the ground and a defined height while maintaining its vertical and horizontal alignment, without the photographs which are taken during this camera movement being blurred. A further movement beyond this type of movement of the camera cannot, however, be carried out with this apparatus.
