834,179. Stop-motion for textile twisting machines. HAMEL, E. June 9, 1958 [Oct. 16, 1957], No. 18301/58. Class 120(2) Each position of the machine has a segmental member 13 between the deliveryrollers 1, 2 and a guide-rod 11 which is maintained in the position shown by the passage of the yarn &c. through an eye 14; when the yarn &c. breaks the segment becomes unbalanced and pivots forwardly to engage the top roller 2 and move it to an inoperative position along the yokes 5. The various segments are mounted on a common bar 12 which can be rotated to bring clamps 16 which fix the positions of the segments on the bar into engagement with the segments to render them inoperative e.g. when the machine is stopping. Each yoke 5 has a recess 8 into which the upper roller can be moved by hand. An additional guide-eye 10 is provided. A further eye 10<SP>1</SP> may be provided to allow alternative yarn-paths through the rollers. |
