PURPOSE:To provide high-molecular moldings such as fibers, films, etc., which have excellent mechanical strength, impact resistance, elongation, etc., by dispersing a high-molecular material mainly composed of a specified structural unit in nylon and molding the mixture. CONSTITUTION:A high-molecular material mainly composed of a repeating unit of the formula (wherein X is oxygen or methylene) is prepd. Examples of the high-molecular material are poly[p,p'-oxybis(phenylene)]isophthalamide, poly[p,p'-methylenebis(phenylene)]isophthalamide, etc. The high-molecular material and nylon are dissolved in a solvent and uniformly mixed with each other. The resulting soln. is poured into water with stirring to produce particles wherein the high-molecular material is uniformly dispersed in the nylon in such a state that the material is dispersed in microscopical areas having a size of not larger than 1mum. The particles are molded into a fiber, a film, etc., thus obtaining the desired high-molecular molding. |
