The invention concerns a method for manufacturing a cheese product in the form of a cheese paste that can be turned out of a mould. The cheese paste is manufactured within a tub-like packaging, by a) introducing herbs into the recess or recesses in the packaging provided in the bottom of a tub part, b) then filling it in alternating different layers with a preparation of unripened cheese based on pot cheese, or of processed cheese, at about 70@C; c) sealing the tub part with foil, and pushing the tub part onto a horizontally positioned tray part, with the wide opening down; d) allowing the mass in the packaging to cool and solidify; e) heating superficially briefly to loosen the adhesion of the herb mass to the wall of the container; f) cooling to the storage temperature of about 10@C, and g) rolling the upper side edges of the packaging to loosen the contents.
