Plug adaptor for end closures of paper-insulated and plastic-insulated cables

Plugs having an angled shape are primarily used for connecting medium-voltage cables to switching installations in a voltage-resistant and detachable manner, as long as suitable spatial conditions are available for this purpose. Since the trend is towards smaller and smaller switching installations, the problem exists of producing connections which are resistant to voltage in these confined conditions. A plug adaptor for end closures of paper-insulated and plastic-insulated cables is thus proposed which has a straight connection shape. For this purpose, the switching installation has an apparatus connecting part 1 with a socket 11 in which a lock nut engages which is provided with a connecting tab 2 and has a threaded attachment 21. The connecting tab 2 is connected via a screw union 6 to the connecting tab 41 of a cable shoe 4 which terminates a cable end 3 which is surrounded by an end closure body 5. The voltage-resistant connection is produced by means of an insulating tube 10 which on the one hand completely surrounds the apparatus connecting part 1 and on the other hand is seated in a sealing manner on the end closure body 5. <IMAGE>
