PURPOSE:To make the extent of resistance to chemicals and a solvent increasable, by forming a fluorocarbon resin material hollow tube into a ring form, while cutting a part of it open, and installing an O-ring inside. CONSTITUTION:After cutting a tetrafluoroethyleneparphloroalkylvinylester compolymerizing resin tube as a fluorocarbon resin material hollow tube into the specified length, both ends are heated and welded by fusion, and furthermore an O-ring 2 is installed in a covering material 1 whose inner circumference is cut open, producing a sealant. Such one used for this O-ring should use those of size, material and characteristics prescribed by the Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS). With this sealant used, it enjoys effective resistance to almost all chemicals and solvents owin to the covering material and, what is more, excellent sealability is securable thanks to elasticity of the O-ring.
