发明名称 POSITIONING METHOD FOR WIRE ELECTRIC DISCHARGE MACHINING DEVICE
摘要 PURPOSE:To enable the high precision positioning of a workpiece with freedom from the waviness and the roughness of a workpiece end by inclining a wire electrode with a taper machining device and reading the coordinates of axes through the detection of a reference point on a ridge line where the workpiece end intersects the upper or lower surface of the electrode. CONSTITUTION:U- and V-axis motors for a taper machining device are actuated to move an upper wire guide 2 and a wire electrode 1 is so inclined toward the highest point 15 or the lowest point 16 as not to come in contact with the projection 14 of the end 13 of a workpiece 10. And X- and Y-axis motors are actuated to move said guide 2 toward the end 13 of the workpiece 10 to be positioned and the electrode 1, depending upon the inclination thereof is stopped in contact with said point 15 or 16, thereby causing a reader to read the coordinates of X, Y, U and V axes. Furthermore, the diameter and the inclination angle of the electrode 1 are corrected and a computer is made to calculate the shift of the guide 2, thereby driving the X-, Y-, U- and V-axis motors and positioning the workpiece 10.
