PURPOSE:To aim at the facilitation of boarding and alighting and the enlargement of a floor surface, by installing a closing plate, turning an upper opening space part of an open step closably, in a frame, and operating this closing plate with a parking switch or the like. CONSTITUTION:A section L-shaped closing plate 1 is rotatably installed centering on a pivot 2 by means of tension of a spring 4, and makes an open step formable in a state of opening an upper opening space part. And, a lower end 31 of a solenoid 3 for opening or closing the open step is pivotally supported on a projection piece 5 of a frame (b), and a tip part 33 of a rod 32 at the upper part is pivotally attached to a link 7. And, the link 7 has its one end connected to the pivot 2, and the spring 4 of the other end is clamped to a projection piece 9 of a partition wall 10. Therefore, if the solenoid 3 is energized, the closing plate 1 is rotated upward centering on the pivot 2 against tension of the spring 4, and since a part 1a accords with the top of a step member 11, a floor space is thus enlargeable.
