<p>A device for opening and closing doors (10) of motor vehicles either by sliding or by swinging comprises for sliding the door (10) a lever apparatus (13) arranged between the car door (10) and the car frame (11), composed of various links forming a closed and definite kinematic chain. The swinging levers (16) which are part of the lever apparatus are mounted on the one hand on an adapter (14) pivotally arranged on the car frame (14) for its swinging operation and on the other hand on a guiding element (15) linked to the door (10) over guiding rails. In order to further stiffen the door and prevent it from lowering down in the sliding operation position, additional levers (16) pivotally coupled to the adapter (14) or to the guiding element (15) swing out in the sliding operation position, grip with their free end (27) a support device (28) and are held there preferably by an electro-magnet (29).</p> |
