In an extruder head for extrudable, plastic materials, which has flow channels which are connected to one or more machine cylinders for feeding the material and open into a profile-shaping die, it is provided that the flow channel or flow channels are provided at least partly in an insert part which can be exchangeably inserted into an opening of a machine head and locked there. Compared with multiple extruder heads designed so as to hinge open, this provides, inter alia, the advantage of easy cleaning of the flow channels and rapid retooling to various flow channel profiles. Compared with conventional extruder heads, exchange of the material compound is easier. The device can also be produced economically.
