PURPOSE:To obtain a sharp printed image even if transferring is performed to low smoothness paper under high pressure by preventing the lowering in the flexibility of a transfer recording sheet and the increase in the viscosity of ink, by containing at least a thermoplastic org. substance, a colorant and a thermoplastic rubber elastic substance. CONSTITUTION:Thermal transfer ink contains a thermoplastic org. substance, a colorant and a thermoplastic rubber elastic substance and, as the thermoplastic org. substance, wax or a mixture of wax and a thermoplastic resin is used and, as the colorant, pigment and/or an oily dye are used and, as the thermoplastic rubber elastic substance, an ionomer resin is used. The use amount of the ionomer resin is 0.1-10wt% of the ink and the proper softening temp. thereof is 50-300 deg.C and, as wax, natural wax and synthetic wax are used alone or in a mixed state and the proper use amount thereof is 35-90wt%. |
