A mandrel (4) supporting gradient coils in an apparatus measuring nuclear magnetic resonance is fixed directly to the magnet (2) of this apparatus. It is shown that this arrangement enables the production of audible noise to be reduced whilst facilitating the positional adjustment of the mandrel. The device comprises two sets (7, 9) of brackets fixed by their support (13), on either side, onto the furthermost rings (11, 12) of the magnet. Each bracket exerts a holding stress (14) on the mandrel.

|
