PURPOSE:To prevent abnormal advance in crank angle and prevent knocking surely by providing a pressure sensor which detects pressure inside an intake port to compare the output voltage of said sensor with the specified value and delaying the ignition timing when said output voltage exceeds the usual constant voltage. CONSTITUTION:The output of a pressure sensor 1 which detects pressure inside an intake port of an internal combustion engine is sent to a function voltage generating part 2 to generate the specified function voltage therein. An ignition timing processor 4 counts an ignition timing on the bases of both the function voltage and the output signal of a crank angle sensor 3, and controls the driving of an ignition coil 6 according to the counted ignition timing. In such ignition system, a comparator CO which compares the output voltage of the pressure sensor 1 with the specified voltage is disposed. Said comparator CO generates unconstant operation output signal to the ignition timing processor 4 when the output voltage is lower than the specified voltage and generates the constant operation output signal to said processor 4 when the output voltage is higher than the specified value, so that the comparator CO delays the ignition timing when the unconstant operation output signal is generated.
