摘要 PURPOSE:To shorten a rise time in emitting light, by forming a part of the lamp wall of a non-electrode lamp, on which a supporting part is projected, in a shape of a plane or a concave, and blowing cooled air, which flows along the supporting part, against said wall. CONSTITUTION:Microwave energy generated by a magnetron 1 is introduced through feeding port 8 to the inside of a microwave cavity 5 formed by a transilluminate member 7 of cylindrical metal mesh, to make the non-electrode lamp 9 luminous. The lamp wall 92, on which the supporting part 91 of the non-electrode lamp 9 is projected, shall be formed in a shape of a plane or a concave and shall be fixed with a flange-shaped member 10. Cooled air from the cooling fan 12 passes through a ventilating port 4 and feeding part 8 and flows along the supporting part 91, and blows against the lamp 9. Since the cooled air passes away from the lamp wall part 92', on which the supporting part 91 is projected, a rise time in emitting light can be shortened by raising temperature in the coolest point and also the lamp can be prevented from being broken by reducing the temperature difference between the upper part and the lower part of the lamp.
