PURPOSE:To obtain copper alloy pipe for hot water supply exhibiting superior pitting corrosion resistance, by hot working copper alloy ingot contg. respective quantities of one kind or more among P, MgO, Si, Zn in addition to Fe, then cooling from a specified temp. to normal temp. and cold working a prescribed pulling strength. CONSTITUTION:Copper alloy ingot contg. by weight 0.60-1.5% Fe, Further one kind or more in the ranges of <=0.5% P, <=0.5% MgO, <=0.2% Si, <=1.0% Zn is hot worked. Next, the alloy is cooled from >=700 deg.C starting temp. for sufficiently entering Fe into solid soln. in mother phase to normal temp., further by >=250 deg.C/min rate in the range from 750 deg.C to 450 deg.C. Next, the ingot is cold worked to >=350 MPa tensile strength to obtain the aimed titled pipe. In the copper alloy pipe, the service life can be prolonged as piping for hot water supply and that used under condition in contact with the other warm water.
