<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the need of machining a scroll lap, by forming a central portion of the scroll lap into a bulb shape, and forming a precisely formed resin layer on the surface of the lap. CONSTITUTION:Laps 4b and 4b' of a fixed scroll 4 and laps 5b and 5b' of a rotary scroll 5 are formed of a composite material consisting of a precisely formed resin layer formed on the surface of a base metal. Central portions 4b' and 5b' of the laps are expanded like a bulb. Accordingly, a dead volume of a compression chamber 9 may be eliminated to thereby make a scroll diameter small. Further, machining after forming can be fully unnecessitated.</p> |
