PROGRAM SIMULATION EXECUTION SYSTEM

摘要

PURPOSE:To shorten the simulation execution time of a program regarding a specific I/O action with a long time up to response by previously inserting an instruction that forcibly increases the hourly value of the timing means of a simulator into the response waiting loop of the program to be simulated. CONSTITUTION:The instruction to forcibly increase the value of a cycle counter 22 by the prescribed time T is previously inserted into the the loop waiting for response from a device (interruption waiting). If a specific I/O simulator 18 simulates the program loaded with such an instruction, said instruction forcibly increases the hourly value of the cycle counter 22 of the specific I/O simulator 18 right after said instruction enters the response waiting loop since a specific I/O action started. Namely, it seems for the specific I/O action simulator 18 that substantially time advances instantaneously. If the time is advanced by the time shorter than the time required for response, the simulation escapes from the response waiting loop at an earlier time by the advanced time.
