PURPOSE:To obtain a printing plate superior in water and solvent resistance, small in the deterioration of image quality due to the change with the lapse of time and the elongation of a plate by incorporating a muscovite powder specified in particle diameter, a specified binder, and a waterproofing agent in an interlayer formed between a support and a photoconductive layer. CONSTITUTION:The interlayer formed between the support and the photoconductive layer containing a photoconductive pigment and an insulating binder formed above the support contains the muscovite powder wet pulverized into a mean particle size of 5-50mum, the binder, and the waterproofing agent containing at least one of organic silane compounds represented by formula: RnSiX4-n in which R is one of aliphatic, cycloaliphatic, aromatic, and heterocyclic organic groups, and one of the substituents of R is a chemically active group; n is 1 or 2; and X is a hydrolyzable substituent. That binder is essentially composed of the copolymer of at least one of ester components of acrylate and methacrylate and nitrile components, such as acrylonitrile. |
