PURPOSE:To enable effective utilization of oil palm in the production of a feed from leaves of oil palm, by charging the raw material in a treatment drum, cutting and crushing the material in the drum and forming the product in the form of paste or pellet. CONSTITUTION:Cut or uncut leaves of oil palm are charged as a raw material into a treatment drum 1 through a raw material feeding port 9. A rotary blade screw 2 is rotatably supported in the treatment drum 1 and the oil palm leaves are forwarded in the drum by the rotation of the rotary edge 2 under the action of cutting, crushing, pressing and kneading. The raw material is converted to a pasty state by the heat-treatment in the treatment drum 1, extruded through a nozzle 5a of the extrusion plate 5, cut at a definite length by a rotary cutting edge 8 and discharged from the opening 7a in the form of pellets.
