发明名称 ERROR CORRECTION METHOD FOR ALIGNMENT DISK
摘要 PURPOSE:To increase the frequency in use of an alignment disk by obtaining the extent of deviation from true alignment though a proportion of amplitude reduction of each burst provided on the alignment disk is carried because of the increase of the frequency in use of the alignment disk or the like. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic head is brought into contact with the surface of an alignment disk 31 and is moved to detect the first and second alignment bursts 32 and 33 and the first and second error detecting bursts 34 and 35 writ ten on the alignment disk 31. delta0=(1-VCA/VCB.VB/VA) (alpha is a proportional con stant) is true where delta0 is the extent of deviation from true alignment disk 31 and VA, VB, VCA, and VCB are respective amplitude values of these bursts, and the attaching position of the magnetic head is so adjusted that delta0 is 0. Thus, the frequency in use of the alignment disk is increased to reduce the cost.
