<p>PURPOSE:To miniaturize a device and lighten the weight and reduce the cost, by improving the arrangement and connection of thyristor stacks. CONSTITUTION:So far as a high tension chopper for a vehicle is concerned, thyristor stacks are provided with main thyristors(hereinafter, MTH) and auxiliary thyristors(hereinafter, ATH), and are combined with CMC, AL, and the like to be organized. In this case, the thyristor stacks are arranged in order of MTH2, MTH1, ATH2, and ATH1, and by using short circuit wires 8, all of the adjacent stacks are connected in series in order. Besides, between the K terminal of the MTH2 and the A terminal of the ATH1 at both the ends, another arranged AL and CMC are connected with wirings 4, 5, and a mid-point between the AL and the CMC is set to be a power source. Then, even if the MTH and the ATH are adjacently arranged, only the half voltage of circuit voltage can be generated between them.</p> |
