PURPOSE:To attain the stable transmission by transmitting and restoring an information signal into plural narrow band signals without being affected by the characteristic of a transmission line. CONSTITUTION:Since a restoration signal D and signals CH-1, CH-2 generating the signal D are signals subjected to FM modulation, no DC component is generated normally and the signals CH-1, CH-2 have absolute time deviation (difference between solid and dotted lines) due to secular change and variation in the mount of reproducing side magnetic heads 7a, 7b, then the signal D is generated as the DC component at the restoration. If the CH-2 is delayed from the normal position, a positive DC component is generated and when lead, a negative DC component is generated. Then the delay control circuit 12 detects the DC component, the delay time of the delay circuit 9b is controlled in response to the detected DC component level, then the signal CH-2 is generated at the normal position.
