PURPOSE:To transmit input data to any host computer by providing an output distributing means, a device control code holding means, and an input control means. CONSTITUTION:Output data transmitted from a host computer through a communication circuit 1 is inputted to the output distributing means 3 through a host data input/output control circuit 2 and a transmission control code and a device control code are removed there, so that only data is distributed to respective device control circuits 6a-6c. At this time, the device control code is passed to and held in the device control code holding means 4. Input data from the respective device control circuits 6a-6c are inputted to an input control means 5, which adds the transmission control code and the device control code held in the device control code holding means 4 to the data, which is transmitted to the host computer through the host data input/output control circuit 2. Thus, the input data can be transmitted to any host computer.
