PURPOSE:To obtain the titled parts having a moisture proof property of a less moisture permeability and a hard coating film by mounting a plasma- polymerized film of an organometallic compd. on the surface of the titled parts made of a plastics. CONSTITUTION:The titled parts is provided with the plasma-polymerized film 9 made of a monomer of the organometallic compd. on the surface of the plastic optical parts 8. As the plasma-polymerized film is formed by the polymerization method in which the monomer of the organometal compd. is activated by colliding it with a molecule, an ion or an electron having high speed energy in an atmosphere of a low temp. plasma, and subsequently by polymerizing it, the plasma-polymerized film is usually coated on the plastic optical parts of the substrate which is placed in a vacuum maintained to a low pressure. Thus, as the plasma-polymerized film which has a less moisture permeability and a high hardness and is composed of a monomer of the organometal compd. is mounted on at least one surface of the plastic optical parts, the titled parts which is not almost changed the refractive index due to absorption of moisture, and has high hardness and excellent strength is obtd.
